Nationally Recognized Recycling
Program
Athens-Clarke County is the home of Georgia's first
municipally-operated residential curbside recycling
program. Since establishing this program in the fall
of 1988, our waste reduction and recycling efforts have
grown to include Pay-As-You-Throw garbage systems and
expanded recycling services for both commercial and
residential customers in our community.
 Attention:
The Athens-Clarke County Solid Waste Department/Recycling
Division is moving. The new physical address is 725
Hancock Industrial Way, Athens, Georgia 30605. All phone
numbers will remain the same. The
move is effective Tuesday, January 19, 2010. Click
